Why ZywOo chose the ASUS ROG Falchion Ace HFX ZywOo Edition, in ZywOo's words
ZywOo's own explanation is about the standard Falchion Ace HFX, the board the Edition is built on. It comes from the Edition launch release:
I've been playing with the Falchion Ace HFX all year, and it has been a key part of my success this season.ZywOo (Mathieu Herbaut), Player / ASUS ROG global ambassador, "ASUS ROG and ZywOo Unveil the Falchion Ace HFX ZywOo Edition - The Chosen Keyboard for Champions", October 18, 2025
That fits his history. He moved to the Falchion Ace HFX in January 2025 and stayed on it through the year. ASUS's October 2025 press release then presented the ZywOo Edition as the keyboard of choice for its ambassador.
In practice, this is a compact 75% board with magnetic switches, used for CS2 with Vitality. The Edition is the same keyboard with his name on it.
ASUS ROG Falchion Ace HFX ZywOo Edition vs the standard model
The ZywOo Edition is mostly a cosmetic and bundle upgrade. According to ASUS's product page, the changes are:
- magenta-tinted WASD keys
- a yellow Enter key
- unique legends on Esc, Tab, Backspace and Enter, with a sniper-rifle motif
- ZywOo's signature on the spacebar
Reviews of the launch say the hardware is otherwise identical to the original. They also say the box adds spare keycaps (Ctrl, Esc and Z) and a ZywOo sticker.
So the standard Falchion Ace HFX Black gives you the same board underneath. The Edition is for anyone who wants the look and the extras.
ZywOo's keyboard history
His early keyboard history is a lot of trying things out. In 2022 he went through a Corsair K70 RGB TKL and an Xtrfy K5 Compact within a few weeks. He then spent several months on a Wooting 60HE+ and went back to the Xtrfy K5 Compact in May 2023, where he stayed for well over a year. A Vitality-branded CHERRY XTRFY K5V2 followed in September 2024.
The real change came in January 2025 with the ASUS ROG Falchion Ace HFX Black. He moved to the ZywOo Edition in October 2025 and has been on the Falchion Ace HFX family ever since.
One small detail stands out. In March 2026 he went back to the standard Black for about a month, then returned to the Edition in April 2026 and has used it since. Both boards are the same hardware, so that switch changed looks, not feel.

Switches and actuation
The ZywOo Edition uses ROG HFX magnetic switches, which are Hall-effect. Instead of a physical contact point, the board reads how far the key is pressed. That allows the adjustable actuation point, which ASUS lists from 0.1 mm to 4.0 mm.
ASUS also lists a Rapid Trigger toggle that covers WASD by default. That is the part that matters in a shooter like CS2. Movement keys can reset the moment you start to release them, so counter-strafing and stopping feel more immediate than on a regular switch.
The figures above are from ASUS's product page. The PCB is non-hotswappable, so the switches are what the board ships with and can't be swapped out.
Should you buy ZywOo's keyboard?
The Edition is available and not a limited curiosity, so you can simply buy it. It suits players who want a compact 75% layout that keeps the arrow keys and function row, while saving desk space for mouse movement. It also suits anyone who wants Hall-effect switches with adjustable actuation and Rapid Trigger.
The alternatives trade off like this:
- ASUS ROG Falchion Ace HFX Black: the same size, switches and non-hotswappable PCB, without the Edition's colors, legends and extras. It is the sensible pick if the looks don't matter to you.
- ASUS ROG Falchion Ace 75 HE Black: the same ROG HFX magnetic switches, but with a hotswappable PCB. The body is deeper, so it takes up more desk.
- Sony INZONE KBD-H75: also a 75% magnetic board with a non-hotswappable PCB. It is a bit larger overall and its switches are listed only as unspecified magnetic switches.
If you want to change switches later, look at the hotswappable Falchion Ace 75 HE. If you want ZywOo's exact setup, get the Edition.
