Wooting 80HE TenZ Takeover vs the standard model

The TenZ board is a collaboration with Wooting. According to Wooting's 80HE TenZ product page, it was built to his exact preferences because he has used Wooting keyboards for most of his career. Wooting unveiled it on January 6, 2026 and released it on January 29. It is a limited run of 20,000 units, 100 of them signed.

Size and weight match the standard Wooting 80HE Black, so the changes are in the build and the switches:

In short, the standard 80HE gives you the same footprint and hall-effect base. The Takeover adds a tuned typing feel and a ready-made profile in Wootility.

TenZ's keyboard history

TenZ started this run on an Xtrfy K5 Compact RGB in September 2022, then moved to Wooting in March 2023 and has stayed with the brand since. The 60HE+ was his longest stretch, at about a year and a half. In September 2024 he moved to the 80HE Black, which gave him a TKL layout.

The latest step is smaller than a brand change. In January 2026 he went from the standard 80HE Black to the 80HE built around his preferences, with the same size and weight.

Switches and actuation

The current board uses TenZ Tikken switches, which Wooting calls Lekker TikkenZ. Wooting says they have a lighter spring. The board ships with his exact Wootility config.

Wooting published a set of actuation settings in April 2025 for his earlier 80HE. They show how he sets up a hall-effect board:

Movement keys and crouch react almost instantly, while Space, Caps and Esc need a deliberate press. That keeps accidental inputs down. Since the Takeover has a different switch and its own pre-loaded profile, treat these numbers as a starting point rather than an exact copy.

Key binds

The table lists his VALORANT and Marvel Rivals binds. In VALORANT the left hand stays close to the default layout: Shift to walk, Ctrl to crouch, E to use, 1, 2, 3 and 5 for weapons and spike, and C and F for abilities. L-Ctrl is one of the keys set to the fastest 0.4mm actuation, so crouch responds as quickly as movement.

Marvel Rivals uses the same number-key weapon slots. Abilities sit on E, F and Q, and the team-up abilities on Z, X and C, all within easy reach of the left hand.

Should you buy TenZ's keyboard?

The TKL layout suits players who want a full-size feel with the numpad gone, so the mouse gets more room. It is hotswappable, so you can change switches later. Because it is a limited run, check availability on Wooting's product page before you plan around it.

If you want the same footprint without the signature edition, these are the options:

The Wooting 80HE Black is the closest match to what TenZ plays on. The Razer suits you if you prefer its switches over hotswap flexibility.
