Faker's keyboard history
Faker's keyboard history is short and tidy. He started this stretch on a Logitech G Pro X Keyboard in February 2023, then moved to the Razer Huntsman V2 in November 2023. The Huntsman V2 was his longest-running board, and from then on he stayed with Razer.
The most interesting move is the most recent one. In June 2025 he tried the Razer Huntsman V3 Pro TKL Black, a compact layout with no numpad. In September 2025 he went back to the full-size Razer Huntsman V3 Pro. The TKL stint lasted under three months, so the full-size layout clearly worked better for him. The table above has the exact periods.
It is the same model family on both sides of that switch, so the change was about layout, not a new brand or a new switch type.
| Keyboard | From | To |
|---|---|---|
| Razer Huntsman V3 Pronow | September 2025 | today |
| Razer Huntsman V3 Pro TKL Black | June 2025 | September 2025 |
| Razer Huntsman V2 | November 2023 | June 2025 |
| Logitech G Pro X Keyboard | February 2023 | November 2023 |
Switches and actuation
The Huntsman V3 Pro uses Razer Analog Optical switches. The full-size layout is the part that stands out in the specs table. It is a wider board than the three alternatives listed below, so it needs more desk room, and that is worth keeping in mind if you want to copy the setup.
The PCB is non-hotswappable, so the switches stay as they come from the factory. Whatever switch feel you get is the one you buy. The board also has RGB.
In League of Legends, Faker plays for T1 on this board. For a game like that, the keyboard setup is mostly about the layout and the switch type, and both are covered here: full size, Razer Analog Optical.
Should you buy Faker's keyboard?
The Razer Huntsman V3 Pro is on sale, so you can buy exactly what Faker uses now. It suits people who want a full-size layout with a numpad and have the desk space for a wide board. If you prefer a compact keyboard, Faker's own history shows the TKL version of the same line, which he used briefly before returning to full size.
Since the PCB is non-hotswappable, think about the switch before you buy, because you can't swap it later. The alternatives in the table are all full size and non-hotswappable too, and each trades something different:
- SteelSeries Apex Pro: uses OmniPoint switches and is a taller board than the Huntsman.
- Corsair K70 RGB MK.2: comes with a wide choice of Cherry MX switch types, and it is the longest of the three alternatives front to back.
- Xtrfy K2 RGB: uses Kailh Red switches and is the lowest-profile of the three.
Each of these is used by one pro right now. They are real options if you want the full-size format with a different switch.
